The old protective cover is not universal: to upgrade the camera iPhone 13 series camera raised module area is larger

The iPhone 13 series released this week brought a comprehensive upgrade of the camera, but at the expense of the camera's "bulging" module is larger. In order to upgrade camera technology, Apple has expanded the raised area of the rear camera module of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max, which can be seen from Apple's protective cover.

As shown in the picture above, the silicone protective shell designed by Apple for the iPhone 13 Pro has a large cutout for the camera system of the phone, measuring approximately 38 mm × 37 mm. Put the protective case on the iPhone 12 Pro, and it can be seen that its area has greatly increased.

The camera "bulge" of the iPhone 13 and 13 mini is also expected to increase slightly, because Apple has to make concessions for the new sensor movement of the wide-angle lens, arranging the two lenses diagonally instead of vertically stacking. Apple’s highest-end iPhone 13 Pro Max camera system will also increase in size. All iPhone 13 series cameras will extend farther from the body to accommodate the new internal components.
