Apple Silicon MacBook Pro with miniLED screen will be available in the fall as planned

A report from a supplier of miniLED screens shows that Apple's update of the MacBook Pro series is proceeding as planned, which refutes the claim that component shortages have caused production problems and delays. As part of the autumn product launch, it is expected that Apple will launch the updated Apple Silicon 16-inch MacBook Pro and 14-inch MacBook Pro.

Although some rumors claim that component shortages have affected production, a source in a report on Tuesday said that production is on schedule.

According to industry insiders at Digitimes, shipments of mini LEDs and related components related to MacBook Pro models are proceeding as expected. The release of the latest MacBook Pro series is believed to be completed in October or November.

Sources said that when the new models are shipped, total shipments in 2021 are estimated to reach nearly 4 million units. This is roughly equivalent to the sum of the 15-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro shipments after the product line is updated.

On September 2nd, another Digitimes report stated that the new model was affected by a global component shortage, which was said to have caused a delay in production in April 2021. The production of the new model began in August, and the assembly partner's goal is to ship 600,000 to 800,000 units per month.
