Lenovo launches Chromebook Duet 5: with 13.3-inch OLED screen, starting at $429.99

After more than a year, Lenovo launched the successor to the Chromebook Duet. The newly launched Chromebook Duet 5 can be said to reshape the design, offering a higher price, a new processor and a 13.3-inch OLED screen.

Lenovo said that Duet 5 may be the first duet brand to cover multiple price points. Lenovo said that the new OLED screen covers 100% of the DCI-P3 color gamut, which reduces the amount of blue light emitted by the LCD panel by 70%, providing an incredible entertainment experience. For a long time, OLED has been a luxury icon in the PC field, and the Duet 5 starts at $429.99, which will undoubtedly become one of the most affordable laptops using this technology.

Chromebook Duet 5 will use the Snapdragon 7c second-generation computing platform announced by Qualcomm in May. This chip is designed for entry-level laptops and recently appeared in Samsung's $349 Galaxy Book Go. Critics have found that it is a bit slow so far, but Chrome OS has lower operating requirements than Windows.

Chromebook Duet 5 is expected to be available in October.
